Everything Books

Don't write notes and phone numbers on scraps of paper, backs of envelopes or post-its. They are easily misplaced. Keep two notebooks, one to take with you and one for home. Write all your notes down in these notebooks. I call them my "everything books." If I need to refer to a number or a note I know that it is definitely in one of them.

Date your book when you start it and when you end it. If you can, include the date each time you make an entry. You can save your books, store them and refer to them according to date.

I recommend Moleskin Cahier Notebooks. They are simple, lightweight and easy to carry. They come in packs of three for seven dollars to sixteen dollars, depending on size.
